2009’s
Recognition Day

On May 4th 2009 we celebrated our third annual Recognition Day. On this day we try to encourage everyone to take a little time out of their day, to recognise acts of kindness that touch peoples life’s.

We were overwhelmed by requests for this year’s activity packs. We believe this amazing response is a great sign of Recognition Day growing in size and popularity. In all, we sent out more than 1500 packs, which was more than any other year so far. As we ran out of packs this year, sadly not everyone who requested one, received one. If you one of these people you can request a pack for 2010 in advance, and we will make sure you’re on the list for next year.

Here is some lovely feedback from people who have been touched by the idea of Recognition:

A Cog Design client said,

“The cards and the art is excellent and finally it is a great way to promote kindness and recognition. That made my day, you got my full support for a great initiative.”

Lindsey said,

“I gave/sent mine to friends and neighbours who were really touched because it re-inforces an ordinary thank you.”

Elaine, Creative Careers University of Arts London said,

“Thanks for your pack – Great ideas and good vibes! What could be better.”

Lucy said,

“Just a quick message to say thank you for the recognition day pack that you sent me. It is great I love the design of it.”

A Cog Design client said,

“We love our recognition packs – good egg card been sent already!”

A Cog Design client said,

“To my Mum in law - I sent the star card and thanked her for helping me at a craft fair and for buying some books for me. She picks up books form the market for me all the time, it's very sweet.”

We hope that Recognition Day has touched all of your hearts.
